• REFERENCE PERIOD:  Period to which the information refers and which may be a specific day or a time interval (month, fiscal year, calendar year, among others).
• SOCIAL PROTECTION RECEIPTS:  Receipts of social protection schemes classified by type and origin: the type indicates the nature of, or reason for, a payment such as social contributions, general government contributions, transfers from other schemes and other receipts; the origin specifies the institutional sector from which the payment is received, such as corporations, central government, state and local government, social security funds, households, non-profit institutions serving households and rest of the world.
• SOCIAL PROTECTION:  All intervention from public or private bodies intended to relieve households and individuals of the burden of a defined set of risks or needs, provided that there neither a simultaneous reciprocal nor an individual arrangement is involved.
