Summary
In December 2005 overnight stays in hotels reached 1.8 million, 6.3% more than in the same month of 2004. This increase was chiefly due to residents (16.8%), since the trend of non-residents, albeit also positive, was less significant (0.2%). Total income and income from hotel occupancy also increased, year-on-year, by 13.4% and 8.8% respectively.
