• The labour underutilisation rate was estimated at 10.1%, down from the three periods under comparison: previous month (0.2 pp), three months earlier (0.4 pp) and from the same month of 2024 (1.0 pp).
August 2025 (provisional estimates):
• The unemployment rate stood at 6.1%, up from July 2025 (0.1 pp) and down from May 2025 (0.1 pp) and from August 2024 (0.2 pp).
• The labour underutilisation rate was estimated at 10.4%, up from the previous month (0.3 pp) and down from three months before (0.1 pp) and from the same month of 2024 (0.4 pp).
• In August 2025, the employed population (5,265.4 thousand) reached its highest value since February 1998.
