Go to Products> Database> Theme: Agriculture, forestry and fishing> Subtheme Fisheries – provides a set of annual indicators from different statistical sources (Statistics Portugal and DGRM - Directorate-General for Natural Resources, Safety, and Maritime Services), geographically disaggregated at the following levels: Portugal, NUTS 2 and Main Port, some of which go back as far as 1969. They include a wide range of information on fishing vessels in the national fleet, aquaculture, fish landed, fish catches, marine animal trappers, licensed shore fishermen, aquaculture restocking, among others.
The tables for the selected indicators can be changed using the “Change selection conditions” option to obtain finer breakdowns in the dimensions of the indicators and/or other reference periods for the information.

We also suggest consulting the Press Release "Ocean economy more dynamic than the national economy in the 2016-2018 triennium," where, in addition to statistical information, methodological notes are available regarding the Sea Satellite Account (SSA), which presents an economic information system related to the sea, designed as a satellite of the National Accounts. These methodological notes are essential for framing and interpreting the data released by the SSA.
