Construction keeps downward trend

Summary
Building permits maintain the downward trend in all the observed variables. The number of building permits registered an annual average reduction of 11.6% in the first quarter of 2012, settling at 5600 buildings. The dwelling permits in new constructions for family housing registered the lowest figure since the 1st quarter of 2001.
The number of completed buildings decreased by 8.5%, settling at 7,000 buildings.
