The trade turnover index recorded a slowdown of 1.3 percentage points (p.p.), with a year-on-year rate of change of 2.2% in April. Retail sales increased by 1.8% (1.1 in March), while wholesale trade increased by 3.5% (5.9% in the previous month).

The year-on-year change rates of indices of employment, wages and salaries and hours worked adjusted for calendar effects stood at 1.7%, 6.6% and 1.9% (1.7%, 8.4% and -0.2% in the previous month), respectively.
